CPVA is the oldest organization dedicated to the Spinal Cord Injured Veteran,

established February 7, 1946...  Is one of the founders of the Paralyzed Veterans of America,

a Congressionally chartered veterans service organization, and still it's largest single state chapter...

And for more than 50 years, CPVA has fulfilled its mandate of steadfast service to the affairs

of the people by championing and promoting the disabled community in health and social ventures to the benefit of all citizens.

2008 CPVA Annual Picnic Information

Do you enjoy an active lifestyle?  Have you had an injury that has left you wondering whether you will ever be able to return to that lifestyle again?  We know exactly how you feel and this is why we encourage you to push yourself and see what adaptive sports are all about but we want to help. People with Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) can once again pursue many of their favorite pastimes, like fishing, skiing, driving, trap shooting, billiards and more.

All of our fishing trip boats are wheelchair accessible up to 18 + aids. The crew are very helpful with your poles, lines and catch. If you have other interests besides fishing we have

all other activities  and dates of up-coming events listed through the navigation  buttons on the left.  We are a group that loves being outdoors, and with a few modifications, these activities are as fun and challenging as we remember.

People with Spinal Cord Injuries (SCI) can once again pursue many of their favorite sports. even those who are chair bound.  Quadriplegics can become more self-sufficient when they use special braces when fishing.  There are a whole variety of hand-bikes for those who

love to cycle.

Our goal here is to show you that people with disabilities 'still can'!
